I Think My Landlord Is Immoral and Stealing From the Government (I Know, This Is GLBT but I Trust Y’all Most)

Question by Candy: I think my landlord is immoral and stealing from the government (I know, this is GLBT but I trust y’all most)
live in a rental house in the country. I have just bought a house and am moving out in a month.
My rent is 800 a month…the same as anyone would pay for a house like this.
My landlord is a social worker and drug abuse counselor. When I make out my check, I make it out to (his last name) Community Couseling Services. He told me this used to be a halfway house, when I asked him why the paint was three different shades of white.
So, then I learned that social workers can open up halfway houses and have the government pay for them. In North Carolina, at least.
I just researched the “Community Counseling Service” today, and it says it is a tax exempt, charitable organization that provides low-income temporary housing. I am living in this house and have never been addicted to drugs or, it is certainly NOT low cost OR temporary.
So, I think he had the government pay for the house and is making $ 800 a month off of this house, and that $ 800 is also tax exempt.
Am I right?

I’m sorry, but that is really funny. If you feel the need to turn him in, do so. I personally wouldn’t, if I was moving out soon enough. The government will eventually catch on; it seems they usually do.
