I Have a BA in Criminal Justice. I Made a Bad Choice, Got Arrested for Possession of Marijuana With Intent?
Question by orenda: I have a BA in Criminal Justice. I made a bad choice, got arrested for possession of Marijuana with intent?
to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. I was offered a Plea Bargin. I pleaed guilty to possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. I paid court fines, had to do 24 hours of community service and I am on 12 months of unsupervised probation. I feel as though I have thrown my degree away because of a stupid choice I made. I was told by my lawyer I could never work in law enforcement because I was arrested for intend to sell drugs. This happened in North Carolina. Is this true? Is there no job where I can use my degree in Criminal Justice? Thank you for any help.
In NC if you plea guilty or found guilty the charges cannot be espunged. My lawyer told me that, also.
I just can’t win for losing. Thanks anyway for the help!
