I purchased the biggest loser diet book and follow it to the T. I exercise 15 minutes in the morning on an elliptical at 4.5mph. I then do crunches, push-ups and tricep dips. In the evening, I do another round of 20-25 minutes on the elliptical doing interval training ranging from 3.5 to 5.5 mph. I have been doing this pattern for 4 weeks now and have only lost 2 pounds. I am categorized as obese and need to lose 45-50 lbs. Why cant I lose?

“Diet Books” are BULLSHIT. There is no “Magic Secret” to weight loss… Burn more than you eat and you lose weight. If you are not losing weight, it is due to your genetics. You need a combo of Mental Health Treatment if you are an abuse survivor, you need a nutritionist to tell you if you are eating more than you think you are, or you need surgical intervention.
No matter how many “Secrets of the Stars” weight loss books, you can’t become something your genetics don’t want you to do without surgery.
If you have addiction in your family, your brain may be hardwired to not be able to stop eating the wrong foods and the wrong portions.
The brain chemistry of Food Addicts and the Overweight is IDENTICAL to the brains of Alcoholics and Drug Addicts.

You can use a book written by a person with good genes to lose weight as much as you can grow a tail by reading a book written by a monkey.
Scam Diet Pills… Books from people with good genes telling you that you can become a super model or fitness model in 30 days… Scam exercise equipment… Scam diet’s like the “Maple Syrup Diet”…
They are all nonsense…
You can lose weight by following these scams but they won’t help you keep the weight off…
Lost 10 pounds this month and you will will gain it back and more 6 months from now when you stop being able to follow the “Plan” because the plan isn’t meant to be followed for the rest of your life.
You need to make a LIFESTYLE CHANGE… Not something you do for a month… And that requires more than a book or a fist full of pills.
