Can This Person Apply and Receive a Handgun Permit in NC?
Question by LindaR: Can this person apply and receive a handgun permit in NC?
This is in North Carolina and I am wandering if this man can legally obtain a handgun permit. I do know for a fact that there is a substantial history of domestic situations in which some involved Police intervention.
This person is now 35 and has recent involvement with a friend of mines’ 17 year old daughter. He has recently applied for the handgun permit and this is concerning because there was a confrontation at the girls home with her parents.
I myself am studying criminal Justice, but am not familiar enough to know what he can or cannot get away with. What I am aware of is that you simply cannot just assume nothing can or will happen. A lot of folks think that…after its too late. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(I changed and deleted personal and locational information to avoid any type of slander or such…although it is already Public information anyway, just wanted to be safe and certain I didn’t ‘put anything out there’. I also removed the docket numbers as well.
Thanks
