Another Question About My Drug Addicted Boyfriend?
Question by GurlieX: Another question about my drug addicted boyfriend?
so… my boyfriend is a drug addict. he gets VERY angry sometimes and says/does some very hurtful things to me/himself. he has been doing coke a lot lately. recently his best friend was sent to prison for killing another friend drunk driving. this not only scares me because my boyfriend drives drunk whenever he goes to his parent’s house, but because he is doing coke much more now.
he used to do ecstasy about twice a week… then he started rolling less, and doing coke more. now that his friend is in prison, he is using that as an excuse to do it more. yesterday he got me to do it for the first time. today, i tried to tell him that it is not worth getting your girlfriend (me) so upset over and he said i was right and said he would stop (heard that before…)
today, we had a great day, better than any other great day. we went to the Commons and layed until the sun went away, then i made a great dinner, than we got drunk like anyone else should do on St. Patty’s Day… then he got too drunk and we got in a fight about something stupid. he said really mean things, so–for once–i said something mean to him. things got a little physical and he left to get more coke. i don’t know what to do. obviously i’m going to apologize for what i said, but why is he doing this? honestly, i feel like i am really good to him and idk why he is so mean sometimes. i feel like such an idiot asking such serious questions on here, but i don’t want to talk to any of my friends about this. help??
thanks for all the answers, they are really helpful. it sucks to love someone so much when half the time they just want to get f’d up… keep them coming. thanks, guys.

leave him, you don’t need to deal with that.

Seriously, just end the relationship. He obviously has anger issues and his substance abuse problems are disturbing. He even got you to do cocaine. He’s only going to lead you down the wrong path.
