Therapy in the San Diego Area?

Question by : Therapy In the San Diego area?
I’m 15 and I’m very sure that I’m suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety. Up until January I’ve been emotionally/physically sexually abused, and I really feel like I’m losing it. I act bubbly at school and my friends just think I’m funny nice and sweet but the truth is I’m losing it, and my dad knows about what happened to me but he doesn’t really seem to care since he never talks about it or anything.

I really think I would benefit from therapy of some kind, and I think I should go to a place for a couple days/a few weeks/a month this summer. Not an actually psych ward where they commit you and keep you drugged, but a place for adolescents to have group therapy and one on one therapy. Preferably a high end kind of place, since we can afford it. And does anybody know what these kind of places are called?

I’m sure your dad cares, he just may not know how you want him to react to this so he does nothing… he’s probably freaking out too. Try talking to your regular doc, s/he may have some good references to a treatment or therapy center.
