I have done extensive research on this topic. The short answer is no. While their is a very small possibility they could have visited, they did not play a hand in creation. Also, if you look at the majority of ancient artifacts that hint at technology that was far too superior for them to comprehend, you will find that all of it is extremely earth like. I would say the probability of our future selves traveling back through time would be a much more promising idea.
