my dad was a drug addicted and he always became sober after he got himself using crack again. but he told me” yea its hard stop using drugs but learning to control my eating habbits was another story” soon as my dad become sober which he has been for fiver years he cant stop eating. whats so difficult about food addictions?

Because you can’t just abstain from food like you can drugs. Its about balance, not shutting them out completely.

it might be said that the difficult part about food addictions is that you can’t completely avoid food. When it comes to smoking, drugs, or alcohol, you don’t need any of those in your life to survive, so if you have an addiction problem you completely cut off those things. You need food to survive, so the challenge lies in making the right choices even when exposed to it and temptation on a very regular basis.
