Tramadol is a synthetic opiate. You can’t be addicted to it.

Starkissed, did you read the PI sheet that the pharmacy gave you when you started on your Tramadol? One of the serious side-effects listed in the PI sheet is addiction. For that matter, even a cursory Google search on ‘Tramadol’ would tell you that it can indeed be addictive. Every reputable reference that comes up on the first page of a Google search mentions that Tramadol can be habit-forming and that it should therefore never be prescribed for a patient with a history of addiction to drugs or alcohol. (For that matter, all of the less-than-reputable “Buy Tramadol Online!” sites that pop up on the first page ought also give a clue as to its abuse potential!)
Jake, I’m sorry that you feel your life sucks so much unless you self-medicate with Tramadol. From what you say, though, I’m thinking that if you really want to quit this habit, you’re going to need some outside help, possibly including some counselling. You don’t seem to be in a place where you’ll be able to kick it on your own.
I’d recommend you look for a detox center close to where you live. Even if you don’t choose to do the full-fledged check-yourself-in thing, they can still advise you on how to proceed and may also connect you with a doctor who can help out with the withdrawal symptoms.
You might also find a narcotics addiction support group very helpful: while Tramadol isn’t technically a narcotic, it acts very much like the opioids, and from what I have heard, the withdrawal symptoms are very similar (and sometimes even worse). Talking to other people who have gone or are going through the same thing can help a lot.
Good luck.
